New CPU by Intel?

hey guys.

i want to upgrade my computer, cause Cames like Metro 2033 are showing my computer who is boss...

now my plan was to go LGA1156 Core i7 (at 2.93GHz), new Mobo, 4Gigs RAM and 64Gb SSD for windows and AV. GFX will stay the same

now i have heard that there is a new intel CPU codenamed Sandy Bridge that is scheduled to be released end of this year/begining of next.

what is your view on the "expected" specs of SB? Do you think i should wait or do you think i should just go i7 now...

I heard something that the CPU will also have a built in GFX system or something like that. I have been out of the loop for a while, so this stuff started to confuse me...

so what do you think?

Yeah, the sandy Bridge CPUs will have integrated GPU on them, much like the i3/i5 CPUs now. The difference is, while the clarkdale (i3/lower i5 - 32nm) intregrated GPU was built-in, it was on a separate 45nm die, the sandy bridge one will be fully integrated into the CPU die. Also sandy bridge overclocking will be limited to 2-3% because all BUS's (PCI, USB, etc) will be tied to one generator issuing the basic 100MHz base clock. I reckon you should wait until SB comes out, then get an i7, which will have hopefully dropped in price even further by then:D

says some specs there ^
very confusing names, still using the "i" prefix

so basicaly i must wait for SB cause of the price drops...

makes sense

also how much of a difference is there between 1156 i7 and 1366 i7?

cause i can get a Core i7 870 (2.93GHz) and top of the line MOBO (MSI P55-GD85)

or

Core i7 930 (2.8GHz) and mid range mobo for the same price

if i add RAM (which i have to) teh 1366 becomes quite a bit more expensive.

will i notice a big difference between the 2?

thanks so far for the help
