new cpu, motherboard and video card

I will be updating my pc with a new cpu, motherboard and video card shortly but by upgrading these will I need to re-install XP again or will it be ok as it is. Will I lose any files or do I need to back everything up just in case?
 
Back up all your data, and yes i would do a new install of your OS when your new PC is built.
 
ok thanks, how would I do a new install of XP? can you do a new install with the windows xp cd that I used to install it?
