New Game cuts off when clicked on

Hi
I bought Oil Tycoon 2 and I installed on my laptop, when its done I click on it then it starts with OXYGEN engine and i can hear noises and I see it, then when its done showing that it cuts off, or if I press a button it cuts off. (only 5 seconds after pressing the icon)

Ive tried re-installing it, restarting the laptop and some other small things but it keeps cutting off.

What do you think is the problem and how can it be fixed?
 
Did you see if there is any patches available. Every new game I get, I look for new patches right away and install them. Seems like something with your laptop does not support the game. What O.S. are you running. Have problems like this or any other with other games? What laptop is it anyway, or graphics card and cpu? RAM?

I downloaded the patch for it. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 6400 with windows XP. This is the first game I put on my laptop, but the laptop works perfectly with everything else.

If you have no other ideas when I get home I will try it on my desktop.

Is it a legit game? LOL maybe you forgot to "crack" it.
 
Dude he means Thats People Who download illigetiment Games that need a Cd key to run dotn have to cd key so you need to download (dont reccomend) a cracked versoin of the game so you dont need a CD key to run.
And when you know what a cd key is you had to use one to activate your steam account If you use Steam. Just had to put that in cause Now a day's everyon plays CS: source :P :)

Im not an idiot I know what a CD key is and what steam is. I know it's a real copy.
