Yeah looks pretty good, a few things though:

OK I'd drop the sound card and put the money into the graphics card. The 7870 is great as it is, but I reckon if you forget the sound card you could maybe get a 7950 instead which would be even better. I'd only bother getting a sound card if you have a really pair of headphones or speakers to match it, or you're doing audio editing. The onboard sound on the motherboard is perfectly adequate for the vast majority of people.

The HDD is slow and not one I'd really use for a boot drive. The Green drives are 5900 RPM. Try to get a 7200 RPM with 16, 32 or 64MB of cache if you can. Seagate and Western Digital both make good ones. Speed doesn't really matter too much for storage, but for a boot drive, you want it to be as fast as possible.

Which 750W PSU are you going for? It's very important you go for a good one. The Corsair TX 750 would be choice if you want a 750W unit, but for a single 7870 or a single 7950, the Corsair TX 650 would be enough.

Rest looks pretty good to me!

Disagree. A good SPU can make even a $10 Logitech set of headphones sound better than garbage. I agree it is better to have a good set of cans to match it, but you will never go back to integrated sound once you try a really decent dedicated SPU, especially in FPS gaming.

well the psu was a chef something i just replaced it tho with a 1000W 140mm Fan ATX Power Supply 12V 2.3 EPS12V 2.92 Quad SLI-ready PCI-Express SATA 20/24 PIN Intel AMD by KENTEK

i have an awsome 5.1 logitech suround system with and amazing subwolfer. i had the creative media soundblaster audigy 2 platinum before and he is right once you go with a good sound card it is really hard to go back.

i also returned the green drive and picked up the WD 1TB sata 3 black drive. thanks for the info on that by the way. i think the storage might be the black one as well. i have had that one for a while as i ran out of space but im not %100 sure on that. but like you said the storage drive doesnt really matter.

i chose the 7870 because i notice that even the higher end of the lower gpu card will out perform lower end higher gpu card. for example the 4870 will out perform the 4950. at least in my experience anyways and i just couldnt afford the 7970 i went a little bit above my budget on this build...lol

#1. There is no 4950. The highest card in the 4000 series is the 4890.
#2. That is not true. The only place where a lower GPU putperforrms a higher is the GX2 type cards in a game that does not support CFx/SLI, as then you are only using 1 core and it is slower than the chip right below it. 6970 core is faster than 6990 for example.
