New Gaming Desktop budget $1150

Hi everybody,

I'm new to the forum and am looking to build a new desktop from scratch. I've been out of the computer game for a few years now so I'm feeling a little behind. I'm sure with some advice here I will be able to put together the best build for my budget.

I'd like to keep the system around $1150. I can be a little flexible, but that's what I'm shooting for. In that pricing, I would like to include an LCD, something like the 24 inch Samsungs preferably. The computer will be used for gaming. I would only be playing WoW and DnD now, which both aren't very high end. I'm sure I will be playing more intensive games in the future though, so I'd like to build the best I can for that budget and also be able to do some upgrades in the future when need be.

For anybody who wouldn't mind throwing a build together for me, that would be great. I appreciate it.

Hey Linkin,

Thanks for the recommendation! Although I really like that setup, I don't think I was clear in my original post.

With that $1150 budget, I would like to include the OS and LCD monitor. Like I said, I can be a little flexible but I'm hoping to stick around that price including those items. The OS and LCD will probably cost a little over $300, so for the actual tower itself I'm looking to be around $850.

There, that should be everything. Have you built a computer before? if not look here:

Pretty much perfect build there Linkin. Found an open box Asus 22" for a couple of dollars cheaper here

Edit: scratch that, he has $1150 he can go with a 24" here. Is there any reason why you need a Samsung?

Thanks.

open box has all the accessories and cables too, right? i've heard horror stories of broken items and missing stuff. :o

No Problem:D With open box You don't really know what cables you're gunna get, you just get what you get. All you really need is a cheap dvi/vga/hdmi cable (if you don't get one) which would only cost a couple of dollars from ebay anyway.
