I have built quite nice little computers till now, now this build will be for me only. As the title says its primary use will be gaming and other uses would be internet use, some software like 3Ds Max in future. I have a budget of 2k for this build. I need help to make sure the parts I selected are perfect for a 2k $ build.
Please comment and give suggestions. Also I have a question when I use this desktop for internet then is there some power saving mode? like Nvidia Optimus?

CPU: Link 220$
Mobo: Link 200 $
GPU: Link 530$
Memory: Link 87$
Possible 2000 Mhz memory available and compatible I can use?
HDD: Link 60$
SSD: Link 260 $
PSU: Link 110$
For some reason I'm not optimistic about this PSU, can someone recommend a better PSU, but I would stick to Corsair brand.
Case: Link 190$
CPU HSF: Link 90$
Monitor: Link
Total cost: 1947 $ :)
+ Optical drive Link 20 $ and I have OS already

Your motherboard says for your memory:

DDR3 2200(O.C.)*/2133(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066

So you would have to overclock if you wanted 1866, 2133, or 2200 speed. I'm not certain how to overclock RAM, but if you wanted to learn, go ahead.

That PSU is a great model and suits your build.

Everything looks really good, especially that beast of a GPU. Only thing is to be weary of whether or not your CPU cooler will fit. It is huge and may block some RAM slots.

I am really concerned about the CPU HSF, I am also looking for Cooler Master Hyper 212. I want to hit 4.8GHz, also I will stick with the 1600MHz memory.
I'm also looking at 2560X1440 resolutions at this time. . :D

Yeah, I can't really say if that will fit or not. You might want to email Asus and ask the exact dimensions of the area around the CPU socket to see how big of a heatsink you can have.

Okay I'll check out the CPU HSF issue, probably tell the Asus technician to install help.
I assume everything else is right. Time to hit checkout.
