New gaming headset

Howdie,
my £7 headset isn't up to the task anymore for proper gaming. Obviously I'm after something wih surround sound, and I quite liked the look of the creative soundblaster arena. Pricey, but looks like a quality item. Anyone use this particular headset? Or could anyone reccommend a different one? Not bothered about the price. Cheers everyone xD

Thanks, have to make up my mind at some point. I quite like the look of these headsets that have 7.1 surround sound and connect to the PC using USB. My PC can only go up to 5.1 using all the jack cables. Dont really want to spend god knows how much on a sound card. So Think i'll stick with a USB one. Will let you know what i get and how it fares

I wouldnt touch any alienware stuff with a 10 foot pole.

I don't recommend USB headsets, they generally arent that great. Although, i have heard good things about this headset before:

Gaming headsets i have used are;

- Cyber Snipa 5.1 Headset <-- Broke when i upgraded to Windows 7 :/

- StealSeries Siberia 5.1 <-- Lacks so much bass it was terrible.

- Creative Fatilty Arena's <-- They felt cheap and they felt like they would break so easy.

- Roccat Kave <-- Currently have and couldnt be happier! :)
