I've got a GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard.

Realtek ALC889A

Installed all audio drivers, win7 64 bit home OEM system builder detects no problems except "no speaker connected" which there is. When audio is played, the volume level is active, so the system detects audio, but nothing through speakers, or headset. And the speakers work since they were on my old system.

Any solutions? thanks.

Your sure the sound drivers are properly installed? What does the device manager say? Are you sure you have the speakers plugged into the right port?

Navigate to the Control Panel and click on Sound. You can then set your audio ins and outs there.

W7 allows you to patch your audio I/O with multi I/O audio interfaces.

It's still giving me problems with the audio. I've installed the latest realtek drivers, and can hear the audio very low with the volume maxed out.

Also, when I plug in the headset, the volume works perfect on the headset. My speakers are not amplified, but they worked fine with my old HP system. any ideas? thanks.

thx, hooked up a set of amplified spks, working again. got confused b/c the unamplified set worked on my last system and not this one. thx. agains
