I recently upgraded my computer's MB to a Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H along with a Phenom II x6 processor. I'm trying to figure out if I have software or hardware issue. When ever I play music or a movie, I get a repeating distortion that last 1/2 a second or it cuts out or skips for 1/2 a second. It doesn't matter what the source ( my HDD, youtube, WMP, or Quicktime). I'm using the audio port on back of the MB, no sound-card installed. No sound enhancements active. I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for Realtec. What opinions do you guys have on this?
