New GPU

I might buy an 8600gts.

I would buy an 8800 but I am afraid I might not have any room for it in my case.

Ultra Aluminus.

Does the 8600 preform well?

Can I max out all games new and sort of old?

Or should I wait a few months and then buy a new gpu.

If you already have 7900GS then why would you want to upgrade to 8600GTS. You will not see any huge difference if you upgrade to 8600GTS !!

7900GS should run all of that on high setting.

However, Crysis haven't came out Yet, so I don't know how it will run on 8600GTS or 7900GS

You wont notice a difference going from a 7900GS to an 8600GTS. They have very similar specs, so dont expect to gain anything performance wise. You will just be wasting your money.

I would not recommend getting anything lower then the 8800GTS 320MB for a DX10 card.

I think the 8600 series it awfull, after looking into them myself, they aren't very good, I think they'd struggle in a DX10 game... A 7900GS should be able to play Crysis on Med - High settings I think...
