New graphics Card and vista

Hi,

I bought this card below:

Sapphire Radeon X1650 PRO 256MB GDDR3 VGA TVO DVI-I AGP

It i downloaded the Vista driver from the Sapphiretech site and i all installed ok. Then when i rebooted my computer it appeared in 800x600 (as you'd expect with a new graphics card) and so i used the Sapphire software that gets installed with the card to set it up for a higher resolution(the next step up to 800x600) i got that working fine but here's the problem lol

Everytime i reboot my computer it goes back to being 800x600 and i have to go through all the settings again to set it up. When i go to the display properties in Vista it won't let me move above 800x600 until i fiddle about with the Sapphire software.

Is there away that i don't have to do this everytime as i've never had this problem on any other graphics card. :(

Have you made sure that your monitor is secure? I guess all you can do is uninstall and reinstall the driver. I find that there are some minor bugs in Vista remembering settings, like in my installation it wouldn't remember my setting not to shut down the monitor after 20 minutes.

Its always the way... After i posted this it worked fine lol. It seems it needs to be rebooted a few times :)
