new graphics card help plz giva advice!!!!

so, my graphics card is outdated. i am planning on getting a new one. my thought were a xfx 9600gt or a 9800gt. i chose this cause of the power requirements are only 400 watts and i got a 480. will these run games pretty good? what i mean by the is medium-ish settings. my friend has a 9600gt and it plays gta4 on med setting just fine. thanks
 
The 9600s and 9800s are old cards that keep getting rehashed and where okay 18mths ago, but there not worth the price anymore, there are better ATI cards at nearly the same price namely the HD4770 and if thats not available try the HD4850:
 
ok, well i just bought a xfx 9800gt off of craigslist for $30. it even came in the original box and came with all cables and everything! it looks like brand new. i popped it in and it works PERFECT. i can play gta4 on a mix of high and low settings and it plays sooooooooo smooth....
