New graphics card on integrated laptop

I need some help figuring out how I will get a better graphics card on my laptop. Details: Core i5 12 GB DDR4 ram, intel HD graphics 520 (up to 6208 MB (Dynamic Video Memory.)) I was looking at the external graphics cards but I want to get this to improve my performance, yet keep it under $100. Anyone willing to help me out??

Not possible. Either get a real Gaming laptop or buy a desktop suited for gaming.

As @johnb35 said, your gonna need to build a custom tower or at very least upgrade a retail tower, albeit with a psu upgrade most likely.

Anyhow, when it comes to laptops, your pretty much stuck with what you have, minus upgradability of ram and/or hdd/ssd

If you can still return it to the store that's your best bet

Laptops that ship with just using integrated don't come with the appropriate expansion interfaces for a discrete gpu.

You think I could try and get an external graphics card?? I know some are meant to just let you use over two screens, but some are able to upgrade performance. You think thats possible?? Upping price to 150

What exact model of laptop do you have? You can get externals for some but not all. Besides, your budget is gonna be too low anyway.

I've got a Acer Aspire F 15 12 GB RAM core i5 turbo boosts to 2.8 GHZ 1 tb Intel HD graphics 520. And if there is an external how much for it?? I've got some more money.

You can get that Razer Core.. but you need Thunderbolt to connect it.. and its like $700...lol

ohh.. and then you need a gpu to go inside..so thats like another $400

If I'm looking at the same machine, that laptop isn't even 1080p and no it doesn't have the above mentioned Thunderbolt 3.. not that it was a viable option here anyhow.

So really, you need to look into a desktop PC with suitable components for games, the laptop is what it is unfortunately.
