New Graphics Card/PSU Needed

I know this thread has probably been done to death, but for a new build I'm trying to find a good graphics card. I've been thinking of either a GTX 560 TI or a Radeon HD 6950. I just can't decide so I thought I would ask you guys, my budget is around 250 but I could go over slightly for the right card. And if you could recommend a power supply that would work in it that would be great, I've been looking at the GS700. The computer is going to be a z68 mobo and the i7-2600K processor, very interested in the ability to overclock the GPU as well.

depending on what you are doing a 2500k is most likely more than powerful enough, but for the question itself look at these, and the 700w psu is complete overkill, no need for that much, and really the 560ti benches a bit slower but at the same time it comes with arkham city v 6950's dirt three so i will put 1 of each

The size of the PSU only matters if you plan to ever use two graphics card. If you're thinking of only using one, about a 650w is plenty of power. But get it from the brands antec, corsair, silverstone, seasonic, pc power and cooling, or xfx. If thinking of getting two cards in the future, look for a 750w from those brands.

If you're only using one 550w is enough in most situations. although it would probably be better to get a 600w anyways

Thanks for all the quick replies I might be doing two cards later, the reason for leaning towards the 6950 as of late is the ability to do 3 monitors without needing another card to run them, for productivity software and such. The computer will be for general use (netflix, internet surfing/shopping, microsoft office) but also CS5 and I will want to run games at full 1080 resolution and on the highest graphics settings (BF3 comes to mind, and soon skyrim.) Is the GS700 a bad psu? Just wondering because it would be 5 dollars more than the Antec 620 you suggested. I just want to make sure I won't need to switch it out later if I decide to add another card and a few nice hard drives for more storage later on. Yeah the fact that the Nvidia cards come with Arkham City is a definite plus compared to the Radeons coming with Dirt 3.

well for the second card you will actually need like a 750, look at the corsair tx750, generally one of the cheapest and best ones, but also a single or even a dual 6950 can't max bf3 on three monitors and a single can't fully max it on one actually with a constant ~60fps

Yeah I didn't think it would max it out on 3 but I was hoping for one :(. Oh well, so the 6950 would be a better card if only running one? I saw the mention of it benching lower than the 6950. Also wondering if it's worth the little extra dough to get the 2gb version of whatever card I end up going with?
