new graphics card time

ok its come to that point i want a new graphics card, i have a 850xt pci-e at the moment served me very well!! runs call of duty 4 superbly but now looking for that extra kick especially as the 850xt doesnt have sm3.0, so my budget is £100 thereabouts, im looking at the 1950pro because of its power but now i see a 2900pro HD is this better than the 1950pro? also all other good cards around this price would be helpful thanks in advance, ive also just found a 8600GTS 512mb aswell for £87

The 1950 pro is better than the 8600GTS, the 2900 pro is better than the 1950 pro.

For under £100 i would say the best performing card would be the 1950 series, i got mine for £80 512mb version, probably even cheaper now.

Or you could save for more and get an 8800gt.

You need to make sure your PSU will support an upgrade
 
so for example im getting cod4 later and crysis when it comes out which would be the best i was gunning for the 8600gts but the 1950pro is a hell of a card too god i hate these decisions, also i meant the 2900gt 256 not the pro sorry
 
I think you should take the 8600GTS out of your mind, dont get it, as for the 1950 pro, its a good card but with your system you wont be able to run cod 4 and crysis on full without a bit of lagg. If you dont get a 1950 pro then i owuld say dont get anything other than an 8800GT
 
why take the 8600gts out of my mind i mean im playing call of duty 4 demo and high settings with like 15-20 fps with a x850xt
