New guy, New build (in a long time)

Hello,

So i haven't built a PC in many years, so im a bit out of the loop to say the least.

I have the itch to piece together a rig over the next few weeks/months.

I want it to be able to game decent, stream to my 52"HDTV, and use with Adobe software.

Here is what i bought today:

Now my questions - and whats confusing to me. What Processor would you recommend for around $150

Also why do processors now say "Intel HD Graphics"

Do these not need a graphics card? Can they game without one? Its confusing to me.
 
That case is not that great. Try putting another $10 into it for a 912 (also a bad case), or the 300R or the like. Something with some cable management and airflow.

Intel HD will not game very well. It is a integrated solution, like the HD4200 from AMD or the old GMA from Intel. They are meant for minimal graphics things like movies and email and the like. Gaming you still need a graphics card.
 
Case cant be that bad getting 5 stars on 530 reviews. At the very least great for my budget build.

What CPU would you recommend for around $150ish
 
It is worse than the reviews state. And you can not count on reviews. The 912 at least has some cable management features. That helps with airflow, that keeps stuff cool and thus makes them last longer. In all considered, that 430 is not worth much more than $20 for the features given.

Probably a i3-2100 would be best there. Maybe go to a FX4100 from AMD, but it will loose to the 2100 in just about everything.
 
Cant go AMD - the links i posted were items already bought - needs to be intel.

Keeping everything i already bought, using the case i bought lol

Just need advice on future purchases. :]
