I know little to nothing about RAIDS and Hard drive installation. I currently use a 160 GB HDD for my computer. This isn't enough storage for my usage, so I just bought a 500 GB Hitachi Deskstar. My old hard drive had some strange bootup problems and was starting to become sluggish in opening files. However, it has a lot of software that I can't easily replace.
My question is How do I make it so that my computer will now boot off my new 500 GB hard drive, while still being able access all of my software on my old 160 GB? I still want access to software such as (a lot of) games, security software, photoshop, office suite on my 160 GB HDD, but downloading some of them isn't an option anymore. If I boot off of my new 500 GB, will the software in the 160 GB still be available on the desktop if I set it up in the correct RAID?
