I want to switch hard drives, to a better and bigger one. eventually i will switch motherboards also, but i want to have xp on my new harddrive first. when i bought my pc, it had me make 11 recovery disks for it. would those disks happen to include the OS of xp on it? or would i have to use norton ghost to put the OS on the other harddrive? thanks.

My experience of changing motherboards and using the same install od XP is a bad one. It can cause all sorts of errors. I would bite the bullet and do a full reinstall of XP after the MB change. But hey, thats just me. :D

Yep... same as the other two people said

If you change the mobo... you might be able to run xp again... you would have to do a repair but it would still run poorly... Absolutley do a reinstall... I suppose you have norton ghost if your talking about it... I have used Acronis TrueImage and I like it alot... anyways.... do the reinstall it will be easier in the end.
