New Hardware Detected

Everytime I turn my computer on I get the new hardware detected window pop up.

This is after I got the latest Display Drivers for my computer, I don't know why it does it?

Also, because it says it doesn't install properly could it be why I'm getting plain BSOD's, I mean, just a blue screen

Thanks for any help :)

Why would I want to roll back the driver? I could un-install it and install it again?

I found this on the web, Don't know if it helps:

Finally got it sorted to what it was. KT133 chipset on the KT7a boards don't like later drivers like above 28.xx or you get errors like the one shown above or just plain BSOD. I have now bought a new board with a KT400 shipset on it and I'm running the 40.xx drivers without any problems at all.

Other games I had trouble with on later drivers on my old mobo where:

GTA3
UT2003

All are now solved with my new mobo :D

I have a friend who has a problem with UT2003 and his new GF4Ti2200 cause it uses later drivers and he has a KT7a Raid board its going to be the same problems as I've had with mine.

My reason being a few months ago I updated my video drivers and all hell was let loose so I rolled my NVidia back to the previous ones and all's been well since:confused:

I put it down to incompatability with my graphics card and MB.

I also found this:

I recently upgraded my graphics card from a hungry GeForce4 Ti4800 to a piss weak GeForceFX 5500.

with the new card in, all of a sudden i got this stop code... so i put the old card back in and bang!... same stop code.... pfft... not impressed jan!

no matter how many cards i try, same bloody error... so i enable onbaord graphics... and well to my surprise... everythings perfect! so this lil problem has been isolated to my AGP slot.

never heard of a slot dying just bye changing a card... but i dont think it dead, why do you ask? safe mode works fine, drivers go in, everything... but i just can't change the resolution, maybe this is a sign?

I've tried putting the latest ATI Control Centre on, didn't help.
Drivers that came with GPU (worked in old machine) didn't help.
Tried, Old ATI Control Centre, Didn't help.

I'm going to try taking it out and putting it back in, give a quick blast of compressed air...

Also, I'll try re-seating my RAM, and see what they does.
Do you think I should try letting my RAM run in single channel instead of dual channel?

Thanks :)

Sorry Kornowski, you seem to have tried everything in a logical sense. Hopefully a higher intelligence may come along and offer further assisstance:)

It's happening still, I don't know what it is, I found this though, what do you suggest?

Should I just disable them?

I'm downloading it now, What do you think it will do? Thanks :)

I've disabled them for now and it didn't come up with the message when I booted up, I'll see what the drivers do :D

EDIT:
I can't download it at the moment, it says it'll take 1 hour :(

It's going at like 140 kbps, lol :(
