Bought and installed a new HDD, I want to put my old HDD as secondary. I plugged it in and now I'm guessing I need to format it or something? How could I go by doing w/e I need to do to be able to transfer files from my old HDD to my new one. Thanks.
 
If it's a SATA drive, then you don't have primary and secondary, you simply select in the BIOS which drive you want to boot from first.

Because your OS is on the original drive you will need to keep that as the first boot disk. When you boot into Windows you should be able to right click on the new drive "Computer" and click format.
