new headset how do i get it to work on css

ok i just re-got a new headset and i guess it works....but when i went to my options on css i kept talking and the bars didnt go up far. but i put it closer to my mouth and the bars went up. how do i activate it so i can talk and ppl can hear me during css

i guess i dont know i was pushin K and no one said they could hear me

though the game was VERY laggy

but on the front of my computer i have a pink port and green for mic and headset i have the pink plug in pink port and the blackk plug in the green port

Are the front audio ports plugged into the motherboard? Is onboard audio enabled in BIOS?

id assume its on board sound cause i had onboard grapphics

so how would i go bout changin that

press esc in css then go to voice then put the left bar all the way up then try testing it

well i belive i did it .... after messin around wiht the control panel i asked a teammate he said iam fine but if anyone wants to make a css game invite me (i dont think i can cause i dont have an ip out of network) my gamertag is
