Hi, I'm new here and I'm trying to build my 1st custom computer. I'm kinda on a budget, with the economy my job isn't really giving hours, but I did get my taxes so i'm good to go on the comp.
Here are the specs:

Graphics Card
- EVGA GeForce 8800 GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130426

Display - 19" LCD Screen Acer

Audio - HT Omega Striker http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829271001

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115041

Memory - 2 x 1GB G.Skill DDR2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098

Storage
- 250GB Barracuda http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148262

Case - Monolith a.k.a. Windtunnel http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811215009&Tpk=monolith

Any help with weather or not they are compatible with each other or not or any help at all would be great, thanks in advance. (I haven't purchased most of these items, want to make sure I'm getting the correct pieces)

BTW since i'm trying to make a gaming computer and I already bought the G.Skill Ram, should i buy more and put all 4 sticks in?

ok so i'll get the ram alittle later after the games i want actually come out but for now how does this look for my gaming computer? http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=8604546

p.s. I really don't like radeon, as i've had problems in the past, I was wondering if there was a better card for around the same price (maybe even alittle more) that's manufactured by Nvidia. Then again i'd be willing to give it another shot if i can get acouple recommendations.

this system looks a little unbalanced to me. if you are building it for gaming, i'd recommend shaving about $100 off of the CPU, and eliminating the soundcard to free up some money for a better video card. the 8800GT is a decent card, but is on its way out.

the E8400 has been proven time and time again to be a great CPU for gaming. this will save you a lot of money that could be put towards getting an HD4870, or a GTX260. i would also go with the 4gb over the 2 if you plan on running vista. RAM is dirt cheap anyways
