Hi guys. Ive never had a laptop computer and i am in the market for one. I want one that i can play games on but i will mainly use it to watch streaming media, surf and utilize guitar software. I was looking at the various dual chip models from AMD and Intell and have a question regarding them. When a game says it requires 2.4G does it read the dual processor as if you only had one? In other words, say i have a laptop with an Intell Core 2 Duo processor that has 2X 2G, would the game work or is this read by the game as having a 2 G Processor? Does that make any sense? LOL.

Also, can you please list some websites were i can have a laptop custom made? These are the ones i know:

http://www.ibuypower.com
http://cyberpowerpc.com
http://www.tigerdirect.com
http://www/alienware.com

Thanks guys!

cre 2 duo 2 ghz doesnt meen frequency 4000mhz, it doesnt mean that it is 2x faster, in most cases its like a pentium 4 3 ghz, but in new photoshot which requires double core it is alot faster than a pentium 4

The processor speed requirements pretty much mean nothing nowadays. They are somewhat applicable for single core processors, but any dual core processor will run it fine.

To answer your question, your processor will run any game that exists right now.

Great, thank you very much. I take it that the game will utilize both processors then while its running, therefore allowing the game to run?

Then wouldnt the game realize the processor does not have enought power and not work? If the game says it requires 2.4g and i have 2.0g duo it would read my comp as not having enough and not allow me to load it right?

Like I said before, processor speeds mean almost nothing nowadays. Dual core and single core doesn't matter. 1 core of a Core 2 Duo would beat a P4 3.8GHz, even though it is 1.8GHz less. Speeds are indicative of nothing.
