Houston, We Have a Problem.

Received my ram today,Put it in...switched on and went into Bios,Shows the ram fine.

Started Memtest 86+ as i wanted to make sure the ram i bought was good.
Went downstairs for like 30 mins, come back up and the computer was off.
I thought wtf,why is it off!

Tried switching it back on,nothing..removed and re-inserted ram..nothing,took out cmos and re-tried..nothing?

The little LED on the motherboard is on,So it is receiving power..but so far everything ive tried, even removing the ram and seeing if it will come on has failed.

AMD Athlon 5350 2.05GHz Quad Core Processor
Asus AM1I-A AMD AM1 (Socket FS1b) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard
OCZ Solid3 60GB SATA 6Gb/s SSD.
4GB 1600Mhz Zepplin Ram.

Maybe try putting some other ram into it, possibly the ram is bad or something. Never heard of zeppelin b4, so it may not be a reputable company

Nah,im getting absolutely nothing from this system even with the ram out..the light on the mobo is on,but its as if the power supply isn't "switching" it on so to speak..looks like im going to be RMA everything! :/

Ive taken the mobo + psu out of the case to eliminate any grounding issues...no play. :(

the mobo itself will actually start up with all fans etc with no/dead cpu and RAM in. but for obvious reasons it wont post and will beep like mad or loop after a few seconds.

id say make sure all power is connected to the mobo, does it actually start up or do you press the power button and nothing? could be that the power button header to the mobo has comeout or the mobo, psu has died. trace the front panel wires from the front of the case and make sure they are connected to the motherboard.

if you have a bios/cmos jumper you can force it to powerup, simply have the pc plugged to power. remove the pin which is in 1+2 pin position. place it so it is in 2+3 pin position, leave for a few seconds and switch it back. it should automatically power up. it will give you a good idea to wether the mobo is dead, psu or if there is something wrong with the power button/ front panel.

Yeah i triple checked all connections, they're all in there properly.

Also Done the cmos jumper still nothing,Its just completely dead..i bypassed the power switch and just touched the power on pins with a screwdriver to rule out a faulty switch.

I've got a feeling its the 90w antec PSU that's built into my case...but im just going to RMA the lot because i don't know that for sure..they will have to check them.

have you got another PSU anywhere around the house? and from what i can see it is either the PSU or mobo. the CPU, ram, gpu etc are more than likely fine.

I haven't,No.

That is why im just sending the case, mobo and CPU back then they will either have to test them all or simply replace them.

Its all been boxed back up now, just got to wait till tomorrow so they can set up RMA collection.

Boo, I'd at least test with a PSU like the one in your rig. You wouldn't have to take it out even but could have the AM1 board on a box within your PC case or similar just to check for POST.

Well the outcome,I RMA,d the mobo and they straight up replaced it...i don't think they even tested it..but just tested my system again and its working okay now with the new Mobo. :)

Not even tried it yet,Only received the board Yesterday and i hooked it all up just to make sure it works,Didn't have time to install an OS,I'm going with Ubuntu though.
