I spoke with my "mentor" at work, and he suggested getting a Dell though the hospital. Of course I must pay for it, but I'll get some discount due to the bulk sales.
OptiPlex GX620 Mini-Tower
Intel® Pentium® D Processor 930 (3.00GHz, 2X2M, 800MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows® XP Professional, SP2 2.0GB DDR2 Non-ECC SDRAM,533MHz, (2DIMM)
Integrated Video, Intel® GMA950(plan to purchase 7600GT separatly)
1394 Controller Card
160GB SATA 3.0Gb/s and 8MB DataBurst Cache™(DataBurst??)
1.44MB 3.5 Inch Floppy Drive
Dell USB Keyboard, No Hot Keys
Dell USB 2-Button Entry Mouse with Scroll(got my own mouse)
Integrated AC97 Audio
16X DVD+/-RW, with Roxio Creator Dell Edition, no Media edit
3 Year Economy Plan (Next Business Day onsite support only)
$1,052 was the quote from Dell, but it should be a good bit cheaper than that. And I know these are good systems, so don't start flaming about Dell or Intel. I use two identical to this one and they work very nicely
But yeah, I would like come general comments on it...
