I would like to know what everyone thinks of the new IMAC 27inch.
Planning to purchase one for this chrismax eve.

thanks

It is common knollege that macs are overprised and you pay for the brand. You could build a computer with the same specs for half the price. However, if you must have a mac then go ahead and do it or you could just build a hackintosh. just my opinion do w.e you think is right

now this is my area of expertise!!

I have many macs and would definately recomend the Imac. My favorite mac is the macbook pro for it's portability and beautiful case.

If u got ur eyes fixed on the Imac i got a few ques.

what will u be using it for?

why are u set on Mac? Are u doin somtin special on a mac or they just look shiny and cool to u?

The reason i ask u is because in Dell's will give u more bang for ur buck

And this common knowledge is not always true. Build me a PC that has the specs of a 27" iMac for close to the price--the screen itself is worth well over $1000!

I'd personally say that the 27" iMac is one of the best values Mac has ever made.

A similar spec'd Dell with a huge case will run you $1159 + $1400 = $2559 > $2000. That includes a 30" monitor...which is the closest thing you can get to the 27" iMac. The 27" iMac (i5) is much better form, slightly less resolution (it's a 16:9 screen instead of 16:10 like the 30"...same width, slightly less height), but you save a whopping $559!

never thought about it that way. I just really like how Macs work. im still waiting for my previous questions for that guy tho :(

the reason I have my eyes on the new Imac is because I heard macs are good for designs, also I watch lots of movies on my computer, so a 27 inch screen is a great bonus really :)
