IM looking at getting this:

The one I am looking at is refurbed at $749.99

I just need it for mutitasking at work. As well as general graphic opperations such as running a DVD.

Would this be a good one?

yeah, it would be fine for multitasking, depending on what apps you are switching between. if you are doing like photoshop with large files then you might want more ram. . .other then cases like that, it would be fine.
