New lappy processor

im not sure. i have never heard of anyone upgrading his laptop processor. did anybody say something about it in the reviews. sometimes there is valuable info in them.
 
Some laptops are upgradable, but very few... I know my Averatec is, but usally the bios is quite limited. I heard the laptop will POST with a Turon but will not go any farther...

We need much more info on your laptop, or perhaps you should just open it up and see what it looks like inside. IT's usally quite obvious if it's upgradable.
 
well, i know i can pull my processor out, and put in a sempron, its a standatd 754 pin, so it will physically fit, but compatibility with GHz, i have a 2.2GHz 3400+ in there right now.... sooo
 
You'd really just need to look around for other laptops similar to yours, say higher models, and see if any have better processors and the same mobo...
