New laptop for dad

My dad needs a new work laptop. It need to have plenty of processor speed and memory for stuff like autocad, Revit, Photoshop, and adobe suite. He has a bias against hp and samsung, he really wants dell or Lenovo. Looking to spend 800-1200 dollars

Take a look on Dell's website. They have a nice Precision for around $1300. Otherwise you could find a Latitude and configure it as you need in the price range you're looking for.

The base $1100 model with the i7 and the 2GB GTX 860M will be more than adequate for him.

I bought my ThinkPad L540 direct from Lenovo's site and it was a breeze.

Sorry, it also needs to be very portable, specs are second to lightweigjt, under 4 pounds for sure

Take a look at some of the ultrabooks from Dell or Lenovo and see what takes your fancy.

If his software will work on OS X then a MacBook Air might also be a good option.
