Hey guys,
So my Mom's in the market for a new laptop and was asking me for some recommendations. I'm sure you guys would know better than me so here I am.
Anyways, she's just going to be using it for: Microsoft Word, Excel, Netflix, email and just browsing the internet in general. That's really all she needs the computer to do...pretty basic stuff. I know she would like something reliable too since her last computer was pretty temperamental. She would also like the battery life to be good. It's not the most important thing but an above average battery life would probably be nice. As far as size goes, I think anything around 15" would be good. A little bit smaller should be fine as well. 15.4" is the biggest she'd be willing to go. She doesn't want it to be too heavy although it doesn't need to be as light as a feather either. She's willing to spend up to $700 but obviously cheaper is better though. Were willing to spend more as long as it's worth it.
As far as OS, I would like to get her Windows 7. I haven't used Windows 8 and neither has she so I'm sure she'd get frustrated. I've also heard that Windows 8 is much more oriented for tablets, which she doesn't want. Would it still be possible to get her a laptop with Windows 7?
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys! Thank you so much!
