New Laptop - IE 9

I purchased a new Sony Vaio laptop last weekend and have just finished setting it up. My old laptop (Samsung RC510) is still operational.

My new laptop runs on Windows 7.

On my new laptop Internet Explorer 9 automatically updated itself, but I much prefer IE 8, however when I tried to download Version 8 it wouldn't give me a choice for Windows 7. Only Windows Vista, and Windows XP. Can I still download IE8 even though I run Windows 7? My old laptop has Windows 7 and runs IE 8 without any problems (well, for the most part anyway).

Any info appreciated.
 
Go into the add/remove programs list, click on the left where it says show installed updates. It may take a minute for all updates to load, then uninstall Internet Explorer 9 and it will revert back to IE8
