buying a new laptop need some help. First of all I want a big screen. I am leaning toward a 17". I use my laptop for word programs and surfing the net. I do not do any gaming. My wife takes a lot of pictures and would use it for editing. I would like to keep the cost under $900.00 but at the same time want to make sure that I get something that works well so I could spend more if needed. I was using an IBM t-30 with 1.8g processor, p4, 1g ram, and 80g hard drive. It seemed to work well for me till my grandson gave it a drink of tea. Any way I am looking at a hp dv9925nr from best buy. It has a turion x2 dual core processor tl-60, 4gig ram, 250g hd,cd dvd burner with lightscribe.
this is on sale with a wireless mouse and bag for $741.00. I am not familar at all with amd processors. could you suggest a site I could go to to learn more about amd or if you have the time educate me.
Thanks Dennis

AMD would be fine for surfing the net etc.

But your wife wants to do editting, so that means to go intel.

But that HP sounds good, are you able to post a link of it on their website????
