Hello I am a new member! I am getting a new laptop in a couple weeks and it will be my first completly owned laptop. I plan on having many programs such as video games, music editor, video editor. I just would like some advice on keeping a safe clean and well running computer. Free would be better

Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast Antivirus along with an on demand scanner like Malwarebytes. It may also help to get a broswer plug in that will tell you when you do searches if the website you are about to go to is safe or not. Web of Trust is a good one. Avast already comes with one called web rep. Just a matter of safe browsing habits and you won't get infected.
