New laptop

Alright, I'm going off to college and I figured it's time to call on you guys again.
This time I need a new laptop but I have a few constraints:
1)First of all I want this laptop to be able to handle any high memory applications like stock trading platforms, but I would like to be able to run a few of the not as new games at full or near full specs (oblivion, battlefield 2, tf2, bioshock).
2) I want a 512mb video card in it and a dual core processor somewhere between 2-2.5ghz processor. I was thinkin' hp, but I'm really not that sure.
3) I need to spend around (but mostly under) $1300.
4)Since I'm also looking at using this for my desktop (by plugging it into my 19 inch monitor when I'm home) I would prefer that the screen is 15.4.
5)if anyone knows if those hp pavilion performance machines like the dv6700t are upgradeable for better video cards (512MB) that would help

I'm open to any and all suggestions, thanks guys and please send the link with the machine you are referring to.

help! video cards

Nice, I love that asus, but will the card be powerful enough to get full specs out of those games??? If not, I really would like to see a 2.4ghz 2x processor with an 8800 in it. Also can anyone give me a short list of how these cards rank by performance (or show me where i can do it myself):
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS
NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650
Radeon HD 4850 512MB

I have a HP DV9000 and have been happy with its performance although it is not as robust as a desktop. I have had a reoccuring problem with it where the screen dies. I returned it to HP the first time under warranty and they fixed it promptly. The second time it died 3 months later, the warranty had expired so I fixed it myself. The new inverter and bulbs lasted 1 day. Now I just use an external monitor with it so it has been converted into a desktop.
