New laptop

Yes, I decided to buy a laptop again. I was going to buy one from Best Buy for $999, but decided to save a little money and get one that will still be good for gaming. In case anyone was interested, TigerDirect has this on sale for $720.

Asus G50Vt-X5
Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz
15.6" WXGA
4GB DDR2-800
320B SATA 7200RPM (has 2 bays)
512MB nVidia 9800M GS
Windows Vista Home Premium x64
802.11a/b/g/n

I plan on seeing how well it works, and then possibly upgrading it to a T9600 (2.8GHz) CPU, and a second hard drive. I'll post some pics and short review once I get it.

I read on the Asus forum that it can be upgraded to another processor as high at the T9600.

It can also be upgraded to any of the quad core mobile cpu's from what i have read.

I love how Asus makes it so easy to upgrade their laptops.

It looks like all you need to do is remove one bottom panel to access the RAM and CPU.

Yep, plus some of them (G51V i know does) can accomodate two hard drives.

^^ That one can as well, you just need to buy a caddy for it. It should be here tomorrow, I'll keep you guys updated.
