New LCD 19'' wide screen monitor

i got a new montior just yesterday and i was wondering if the words are supposed to be blurry and hard to read. I got this one http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2513662&Sku=H94-1920
I haven't build my new computer yet im using the new monitor on my old computer. Will the monitor be better and not blurry once i put my new computer together with the geforce 7600GT pci express video card? Maybe its becuase my old computer has a really old radeon 9500 agp video card? or does the monitor just suck.
 
is your resolution set to 1440 x 900?

If not, change it.

And if you're using the monitor cable that came with the monitor, toss it out, it's most likely junk. Get yourself a good quality dvi cable from newegg.

An lcd isn't even capable of being 'blurry' it's mechanical lcd pixels...... Use a dvi cable rather than the (most likley junk) vga cable it came with.
 
oh i do have a dvi cable lol my new motherboard will have a dvi outlet i dont think my old one does. So dvi will make it better?
 
are you certain you changed your resolution to 1440 x 900?

if it's still set at 1280x1024, that could explain the blurriness
 
Yeah when I bought my laptop, by default, Vista had it set to regular screen and it looked like crap till I changed it to a widescreen setting.
