New List Of Resolutions

I just got a new monitor that has a native 16:10 - 1440x900. However, this option is not in the list of resolutions. It goes straight from 1280x1024 up to 1440x1050. Now the 1440x1050 isn't that bad, but it is still very stupid looking. I am running Vista, all drivers are installed, I even rolled them back just to make sure an update didn't do it. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

try this.. right click desktop - personalize - display settings - advanced settings. On the first adapter tab, click List All Modes... 1440 by 900 should be on the list. Make sure you choose it for 32bit and 60 Hertz. Keep in mind, this is a dangerous area as if you choose a higher hertz than your monitor supports, you can permanently damage it. Just make sure you select the right one before you click ok :). Once you click ok, that window closes, then just hit Apply. That should do it :). If the option isn't listed, come back, there are other methods :). Good luck.

It is not listed. For some reason, it lists all the ones that I can choose with the slider. Just about every resolution imaginable except for 1440x900 is listed.

Edit: I have also tried using a program that you can choose the aspect ratio, and resolution for, but my monitor gives a message that says "frequency out of range" and defaults back to one of the other resolutions.
