New mobo, good deal?????

i currently have a cheap ecs mobo, and my friend is getting a new one a he is selling his old asus crosshair mobo for $50. its got 2 pcie and lots of leds, is this a good deal? btw, heres a link

For an old SLI board I guess that would be fair.

But, it's AM2 so you'll be stuck with old cpu's.
(Athlon 64 X2 / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 / Sempron)

Which would be fine I guess but they're overpriced now.
So, it would be fine for an upgrade of an older PC with a
non-SLI board with a compatible CPU you could just swap.

You won't be able to use it as an "upgrade" for your "cheap ECS" board.

I remember that mobo it was good back in the day. Bad new is your Phenom II will not work in that mobo sorry.

The board supports the Phenom I, but not the Phenom II.

umm, right now he has a phenom II 940, just like i have, in it and it works fine.
