After I told my dad that I wanted a new computer and that i wanted him to pay for 1/2 of it :) I told him that I was going to save up for SLI compatible video cards. After I told him that a video card processes half of the graphics and the other video cards the other half he said that I would need a new monitor becuase of this new processing. I asked one my comp geek friends and he said the same thing, but he didnt go into details. What better place to ask this question? is this true or just something that ppl think? Currently I have a MAG 17', its about 2 1/2 years old.

-thx guys

you dont need 2 monitors, im not sure if it matters what card you plug your monitor into, but i know that you only need one. Although you can have 2 monitors if you wanted, but it would just be a split screen or duplicate screen.

i dont think he meant 2 monitors...i think he meant replacing the monitor he has now. ;) i could be wrong though.

no, you dont need a new monitor. i think what u have will be fine. find out what ur "geek friend" was thinking when he said u would need it and let us know.

Yes I also think he is talking about replacing his monitor. And no you dont need to replace your monitor now if it's in good working condition.
