New Monitor

I have an older dell computer, probably about 7-10 years old. The monitor needs replaced. If I bought one of the newer LCD style monitors, would it work on this computer?

yes though you may have to buy an adapter to go from DVI-->VGA or VGA-->DVI. Or you can just make sure the monitor has an output that matches an input on your video card.

If your computer is that old I wouldn't get a monitor alone. For less than $400 you can get a desktop with a 18.5" lcd brand new, or a laptop.
