New motherboard...Reformat hard drive?

Do you have to reformat a hard drive after installing new motherboard?

Yeah, i did. I went from Intel to AMD though. So maybe it depends.

I saw this post right after I posted my question. So I guess there isn't a way to save the information on the drive if it wasn't done before the motherboard was changed?

I could be wrong but I dont think you have to reformat if you keep with the same chipset. But, typically yes.
