i havent been up to date with the current specs with motherboards..
what are some good motherboards out there right now??

is this MOBO outdated? if so what should i be paying attention to, to know that they are current models?

To choose motherboard, adjust to what computer specification you want, what processor you want, what speed you want. I think old motherboard will change to new if we plug new version of processor, ram, VGA or other device that support with it's motherboard
