New Motherboard?

Do I need to replace the motherboard?

There was a power surge lately. I don't know if that was the actual cause of my problems, but my desktop was working fine before it occurred. I'm having problems with the display glitching and flickering. Also, when I power the desktop up, sometimes the fan will start, the disk drive will start, and that is it, and the fan will keep running. It just freezes. Also, the computer sometimes freezes when restarting just after the display shuts off. The video is integrated on the motherboard.

AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2GHz (I believe 939?)

I don't know if the board is made by Foxconn or NVidia with Geforce 6100 and NForce 410.

i think it could be your motherboard, but not sure. anyone else know what would most likely be fried after a power surge?

Sounds like a motherboard. It could also be your PSU. I have had these symptoms before with both, whether seperately or happening at the sametime. Sometimes, its the surge frying the psu which in-turn fries certain sections of the motherboard.

best bet is to buy both. Try the PSU first, if it keeps happening then put in the motherboard.
