New MP4 - No Driver????

Hi, I purchased a new MP4 off eBay sometime ago. I finally decided to give it as a gift, and was asked if I would please download some stuff for her. It tells me there is NO DRIVER? The unit works with what is pre-loaded for examples - but my computer says it's unrecongnizable as no driver detected. Can anyone PLEASE offer any help. The is for a young girl who's family is on hard times and was just estatic to receive a gift such as this. I can't do anything about it with the Seller on eBay as the item has been deleted - I've had this new in the box for a few months. I should have checked it when I received it.

Can you give us the make of the MP4 and the model/model number? That will help us determine if you need a driver.

There is nothing on the unit and the box just states MP 4/5 Digital Player and the User Manual is in Chineese - go figure? The Device Properties state: Driver Provider - Microsoft, Driver Date - 01/07/2001, Driver Version - 5.1.2600.0, Digital Signer - MicroSoft Windows Component Publisher. This is the only info I can find on the device.

Does that work? Make sure you don't have the device hooked up WHILE installing the driver. Install the driver first then hook up the device.

I don't understand? How do I install the driver? In the same properties area it tells me that there is no driver for this device and prompts me to troubleshoot. When I follow the Microsoft trobleshooting suggestions... I get nothing.
