Anyone grab one today?

My buddy grabbed one, sounds cool.. looks like some neat, unique features.

My little cousin wants on for his birthday, is doing awesome in school, and his folks are strapped for money so I thought I'd hook it up for him so they can give him a wicked gift.

Any opinions?

Not a fan of it, the whole bulky controller with a screen in it doesn't sit well with me. That thing must be super expensive to replace when it breaks.

i'd think the Assassin's creed PS vita for like 200 on black friday might be a better gift, IMO at least

He doesn't a vita..I assume its the machine and game?

Do you need anything additional with the Vita to get started?

Edit: I also just realized you said BlackFriday.. I'm in Canada... however I see a Vita 3G+wifi version and 2 game bundle for $279Can. is this good or too much?

not sure what that's saying but it's a play station protable with touch screen, pad, and some good games, not entirely sure how good it is but looks better than the wii U to me, could ask him or something

If he's a younger kid, stick with the Wii U. The Vita is pretty cool (I own it), but the amount of quality games on it is virtually 0, whereas the wii U has several highly rated launch titles.

I am also curious about the Wii U. It looks pretty cool from what I've seen (which isn't much though). One of the things I hated about the Wii is that HD wasn't an option.
