New or used monitor

Simple question: I'm getting a new monitor for my new computer (that other thread in which I spam), but is it advisable to buy an old monitor, or should I really REALLY get a brand new one?

Well not quite, there isnt much in terms of government standards and minimum requirements for monitors :)

The choice on wheather to buy new or old monitor is dependent on (a) your requirements (b) the specs on the monitor (c) the actual conditionof the monitor and (d) the price
