This is not my first build but is rather upgrading dramatically from my old desktop.
I finally got my new motherboard in after all my other parts and I put everything together. I power it up and it runs through the bios and asks to set up my bios, normal because its all new. I went through and saved any changes and it reboots. The problem is, after it reboots it goes to the screen that asks how you want to boot (safe mode, normally, etc.). I clicked start windows normally. It then gets up to the point where the windows boot screen would show, then flickers and reboots. Is this a problem with my hard drive? Could it possibly be too much Arctic Silver on the CPU, I've never been good at that but its never cause any problems before. Any ideas?
My specs are:
Asus P5N32-Sli Deluxe Motherboard
P4 2.8GHz 775 800mhz
Asus StarIce CPU heatsink and fan
1GB DDR2 667 PC5400
500watt psu
80gig hard drive
60gig hard drive (storage)
PNY Nvidia 7600 256mb PCI-E
