Can anyone give a recommendation for A fine PC? I have no real budget and All I want to do is game. I was told AMD was a good company, but I have no Idea what they do. I want a pre-built PC, because I am clueless and don't have the time to build one.

You have no budget, meanin you could theoretically spend $6000 on a PC? Everyone has to hav a budget lol...at least a ballpark budget.

CyberPowerInc makes nice computers
Alienware and Voodoo do as well, but they are VERY expensive

Dell seem to be ok, have a look at the XPS 600 model.
Prebuilt and seems to be a reasonable price and looks good for games.

Well, getting a pre-built PC will jack up the price quite a bit. I suggest reading into it and building your own, as it's fun and rewarding. If you have no real budget, then begin by reading the 101's posted in each section. Reccomendations will be given, and then post again with some ideas. If you are going to be purely gaming, then AMD is probably the route to go. One processor company is not necessarily better, but they excel at different things in the real world. Read the 101's for a good base.

Well, I want a laptop. I think I should have started this in that section. I like the XPS 170. Does anyone have that PC? I want a first hand recommendation. My budget is about 5500$.

Go with alien ware then.
Also I know you want an expensive one but you can find good compaqs. but they might be too cheap for you ;)
anyways feel free to ask more.

The dell XPS Is light?
I never knew that,

I personally dont like laptops, its not like anyone actually carries them around... ide rather have a beast of a PC.

Anyway pre-built custom - go with Alienware

Personally if you can spend thousands, I'd get a Voodoo. I think they are much better quality than Alienware.

I have an XPS 170. It is the most powerful PC i've ever worked with. It has the best gaming power ever. I STRONGLY reccomend (if you have no budget) it. Just don't get the TV tuner Dell offers beacuse it's external (not a good choice for travel).

Well now that is kinda silly is it not? I mean the whole reason for a laptop is so people can carry them around. My wife carried hers back and forth to school and used it to take notes in class. I use it and the wireless connection in bed when I'm bored and cannot sleep but don't want to get out of bed. Laptops are great. Hate to drag my PC onto the city bus with a generator :D.
