Ok, I have posted this before, but it was months ago. I was about to purchase it but I needed to sell some paintball stuff. I had some major issues but now they are worked out and the stuff is up for sale (pm me if interested).

Anyway, here's my set up, just making sure this is all compatable, and still a good deal...

Mobo + 7800GT ($339.99) : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sku=E145-7810

RAM ($130.00) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145504

Processor ($297.00) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819103562

PSU ($54.99) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817148008

HDD ($96.00) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16822144701

Burner ($38.99) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16827152058

Mouse ($14.99) : http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-optical-fan-mouse-blue.html

Case -including dual cathode kit (blue) ($75.98) : http://www.xoxide.com/sunbeam-transformer-case-black.html

Keyboard ($21.99) : http://www.xoxide.com/sunbeam-pro-ill-kb-black.html

Rounding up to the nearest 5 or 0 on everything the total comes to $1,085.00(USD) and I still need to pay for shipping. I know shipping on the case/keyboard/mouse will cost over $30, and all the newegg/tiger parts shipping should come around $40, playing it safe.

I can't go over $1230 USD AT ALL. NONE! including shipping and everything.

I still need to get the OS too, which one would you guys recommend?

Here are my plans/uses for this pc: Gaming... and listening to music. Eventually I will put another 1gb stick of ram in, and also I will get a new Motherboard.. if I need to, reading that motherboard's specifications makes me wonder, but anyway, those are my plans.

So is it a good pc for the price?

For 1200, this is a pretty sweet computer. I question you about your mouse and keyboard, and why you can't use your current one? My computer cost about 1500 and yours will run a bit slower than mine (I have a GTX opposed to GT and a 4000+ opposed to 3800+, and single vs. dual) but should perform everything quite smoothly. Nice set-up.

Could upgrade to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145575 and with the rebate would prove to be a nice upgrade, giving you another gig for only ~50 dollars more.

As for the mouse and keyboard my current pc is the family's, we do have a spare monitor that I will use though.

I will definately check into the extra gig, but I also forgot to mention that I have few games, and no desk or chair for the pc lol. nice find though, like I said I will definately look into it.

I will probably cut up an old desk of mine and just use my bed for a chair for now.

dual core cpu for future use...
telling someone to get 4000+ is like telling them to throw away their money~
