Hey. I'm looking for a portable, powerful laptop, as the title says. My budget is up to $2000 AU.
Portability: I'd like to keep the weight low- 2.3 kg is about as heavy as I'd like it. I'd like this to be a computer I can take to uni, etc.
Power: I'll be photoshopping large images and doing some casual gaming. I'd also like to make this a computer that's generally quick, and nice to use.
What I'm after:
-For a processor, a decent i7 (or at least a nice second gen i5).
-USB 3, blu ray, good battery life, very light weight and gesture touchpad are the nice features I'd like, but aren't necessary. Also a high def screen would be nice for photoshopping, but for a small computer I could just get a monitor for general use, so not a huge deal.
-Good looks, backlit keyboards, cool security and ridiculous lightness (>1.5 kg) are features I can happily do without.
I'm looking at:
Sony vaio S series: Sacrifices graphics and some minor features, but amazing battery life and portability are very nice. I'd do a lot less gaming, but it would be great otherwise.

HP DV4 3030tx: Much nicer graphics, but not as portable. And no where can I find its battery life, which is offputting. Also there are few reviews, so I don't know anything about it's possible bad points.

Are these good? What do you recommend? Or any similar computers out there?
